What is a sheet?
When we deliver in writing a research paper, a thesis , an essay or a practical work, among others, we are likely to be asked to have a specific extension. This extension is requested in pages, that is to say, in sheets of a specific size : letter, typewritten with a normal letter, that is, of 12 points, already single or double space.
It is estimated that a primer has between 20 and 23 lines . The letter size sheet must be written on a typewriter or computer . A page can contain an approximate amount of 1700 characters or between 200 and 250 words in Spanish, and up to 300 in English.
What is known as a page corresponds to a quarter of a sheet, hence its name . A sheet measures exactly the size of two pages, each of which contains two pages. If we divide a sheet into two, we get an leaflet. A sheet measures approximately 14.8 centimeters by 21 centimeters.

Paper formats
Other typical formats of sheets of paper on which a paper can be written are:
- A4 : The most used form today, for its practical size. The paper cut measures 210 by 297 mm, which corresponds to 21 by 29.7 centimeters.
- Legal : It is the second option when printing a job. Its measurements are 35.6 by 21.6 centimeters.
- Legal : It is a more extensive cut, whose measures are 33 by 21.6 centimeters.
Remember that the number of words per sheet will also depend , not only on the size of the sheet, but also on the margins that we indicate to the program we are using to process the text . Usually normal margins are left (approximately 3 to 4 centimeters in the left, upper and lower lateral margins, leaving the right with 2.5 cm).
