Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOSCO) is the most common type of endocrinopathy (disruption of hormone secretion). Depending on the diagnostic criteria, it affects 5% to 21% of premenopausal women (usually 15-44 years old).

Most women find the disease in their twenties and thirties when it is difficult to get pregnant and see a doctor. This is estimated at 15 percent. Women with such problems suffer from polycystic ovary disease.

Cervical insufficiency is a major cause of miscarriage and premature birth, PCOS is a heterogeneous endocrine disorder and is the most common cause of insufficiency and hypogonadism.
