Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOSCO) is the most common type of endocrinopathy (disruption of hormone secretion). Depending on the diagnostic criteria, it affects 5% to 21% of premenopausal women (usually 15-44 years old).
Most women find the disease in their twenties and thirties when it is difficult to get pregnant and see a doctor. This is estimated at 15 percent. Women with such problems suffer from polycystic ovary disease.
Cervical insufficiency is a major cause of miscarriage and premature birth, PCOS is a heterogeneous endocrine disorder and is the most common cause of insufficiency and hypogonadism.
At present, it remains questionable whether women with PCOS have an increased risk of miscarriage and there have been no studies on the effects of pregnancy on PCOS patients who are unable to become pregnant.
